Container hire in Mackay, with the option to keep it
Plenty of work up here has an end date: a shutdown, a build, a crush, a contract out west. Hire suits that. When the job keeps going, buying the box becomes the cheaper path, and we can switch you over without moving it. We do both, so the advice is the same either way.

Guide prices only. The figure you are quoted depends on the delivery address and the stock on hand when you ring — (07) 4944 2211 gets you the actual number.
What hire includes
A cargo-worthy unit, wind and watertight, inspected before it leaves. Delivery and pick-up are quoted with the hire, so you know the full cost before you agree. General purpose units come with a lock box fitted.
Buying instead
Cargo-worthy used units start from $2,200 for a 20ft and new single-trip from $3,300. Photos of your unit on request before delivery, one delivered price, and a box that holds resale value for years.

If a hire runs on and you'd rather own the unit, ask us to price it where it sits. No swap, no second delivery, and it is already the grade you would have bought.

Where hire stops making sense
Under a year, hire is usually ahead: no capital out of the business and nothing to sell afterwards. Beyond two years buying is well in front, more so than the raw sums suggest, because a well-chosen used unit sells again for most of its purchase price.
In between, it turns on whether the work is contracted or open-ended. Ring and we'll go through it — including when the answer earns us less.
